Why organisers book a photo booth

As an event organiser, you know that the difference between a good event and a great one is often in the details, and in suppliers you can trust without watching over them.

A photo booth solves several problems at once: guest engagement, entertainment, takeaways and social content. Here are five ways we make that work for you.

Keeping guests engaged

1. Engagement for every guest

Lots of entertainment appeals to one crowd. A photo booth works for everyone, from children to grandparents and from the quietest colleague to the loudest. It needs no explanation: guests tap the screen and go.

It also becomes a natural meeting point. Guests who arrived as strangers end up in the same photo.

2. A keepsake guests actually keep

Unlimited prints mean every guest can take something home. Prints end up on fridges, office pinboards and in wallets, long after the event.

With a custom print design, every one of them carries your event name, date or logo.

3. Photos that travel further

Guests send photos to their phones in seconds and share them while the event is still going. Add a hashtag to the print or start screen and the event reaches well beyond the venue.

For corporate events, your logo can appear on the start screen and on every print. You also receive a private online gallery of every photo afterwards.

Making your job easier

4. One less thing to manage

We arrive 60 minutes before your start time, set up and test everything, and check in during the event. The booth runs itself, so it never needs your attention.

When the hire ends, pack-down takes 15 to 20 minutes. Our equipment is fully insured and PAT tested, and invoices are available on request.

5. A setup that suits the room

Choose The Selfie Pod, clean and modern in white, or The Retro Pod, warm handcrafted wood. Both have the same features, so you can simply pick the style that suits your venue.

We need about 2.5m × 2.5m and one standard 13-amp socket, and we're happy to advise on placement.

Tips for placing the booth

Put the booth where guests already gather, close to the bar or the edge of the dance floor, but not in a walkway or in front of a fire exit. Good visibility matters: a booth tucked in a side room gets far fewer visits.

If there's a drinks reception, an awards ceremony or a dinner, think about when the booth opens. Opening it as the formal part ends gives guests something to do straight away, and keeps the energy up into the evening.
