This policy explains what personal information Snap Booth collects, how we use it and the choices you have. Last updated: 30 October 2026.
Who we are
Snap Booth is a trading name of Ryan Lewis, a sole trader, providing photo booth hire for weddings, parties and corporate events. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@snap-booth.com.
Information we collect
When you enquire or book: your name, email address, phone number, event date, venue and event details, the package and extras you choose, and anything you tell us in messages, our chat or forms.
When you pay: payment details are handled securely by Stripe. We see a record of the payment (amount, date and the last four digits of your card) but never your full card number.
At your event: photos and videos taken in the booth, and, if guests choose to send their photos to themselves, the email address or phone number they enter.
When you use our website: if you accept analytics cookies, information about how you use the site, such as pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location. If you arrive from one of our Google adverts, a click identifier from Google, so we can tell whether the advert led to an enquiry.

Our lawful bases
Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using your information:
Contract: to handle your enquiry and quote, take your booking, deliver the service and process payments.
Legal obligation: to keep financial and tax records.
Legitimate interests: to run and improve our business, keep our systems secure, send you messages about your booking, give guests their photos, and share event photos in our marketing. We always weigh our interests against your rights, and you can object at any time.
Consent: for analytics and advertising cookies, and for any marketing emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Event photos and guests
Guests choose whether to use the booth and whether to have their photos sent to them. Photos are added to the private online gallery for the person who booked us.
As set out in our terms, we may use some event photos in our marketing unless the person who booked tells us in writing before the event that they would rather we didn't. If you appear in a photo we have shared and want it taken down, email us at hello@snap-booth.com and we will remove it.
International transfers
Some of the companies above are based in, or store information in, the United States. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected, for example through the UK–US data bridge or the UK's approved contract clauses for international transfers.
How long we keep your information
Bookings and payments: 6 years after your event, as required for tax and accounting records.
Enquiries that don't become a booking: up to 2 years, then deleted.
Event photos and galleries: available to you for at least 12 months after your event. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
Analytics data: up to 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
ask us to delete your information;
ask us to limit how we use your information;
object to us using your information, including for marketing;

Keeping your information safe
We use secure, reputable systems for bookings, payments and storage, protect our accounts with strong passwords and two-step sign-in where available, and only give access to people who need it.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we have used your information, please contact us first at hello@snap-booth.com so we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
